Celebrate Brownsville on June 7

NEWS RELEASE -- The Celebrate Brownsville Festival will honor the spirit of the neighborhood with art, music, food and fun.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 7 at 3300 Mobile Highway in front of the Brownsville Assembly of God Chruch.

It is sponsored by the  Escambia County Community Redevelopment Agency and will include:

  • Adoptable dogs and cats from Escambia County Animal Services.
  • Children’s activities, such as nutrition-based bean bag toss, piñatas and more.
  • Historical photographs of the Brownsville District.
  • Live art demonstration.
  • Local food vendors offering American, Jamaican/Island and barbecue cuisine.
  • The winning art works for The Face of Brownsville art show will be revealed.
  • Various genres of music and dance performers.
  • FEMA representatives will be onsite to assist citizens.
