Interstate 10 road work ahead this week

NEWS RELEASE -- The Florida Department of Transportation announced road work ahead on Interstate 10 near the Scenic Highway exit this week.

The right lane of westbound I-10 near the Scenic Highway overpass at exit 17 will be closed from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, to 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31. The lane closure will allow crews to position a large construction crane.

In addition, traffic in the left lane of I-10 will be slowed by Florida Highway Patrol escort vehicles between the hours of 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. Drivers should anticipate travel delays during this time.
