The Studer Institute announced that the Aug. 20 “Leadership in the Workplace” seminar is now open for registration.

Interested applicants can register at the Institute’s temporary website located at studerinstitute.com under the “Workshop” tab.

Participants in the workshop, to be facilitated by Quint Studer, will learn techniques and skills to help their organization deliver superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement.  The cost of the event is a check from each attendee to the nonprofit organization of the attendee’s choice, payable at the door.

In addition to the seminar, the Institute will be hosting a business networking trade show after the workshop.  For no extra cost, participating organizations can reserve a table to set up promotional materials to be displayed during the workshop, and attendees will have the opportunity to network following the event.

Lunch will be provided at no extra cost, but workshop participants are expected to participate in the entire day’s schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the business networking hour to follow.

Randy Hammer, president of the Studer Institute, noted that the day would be an intensive, interactive education for participants on the same principles that Quint Studer has perfected over the years in his business as a healthcare consultant, owner of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, and community developer.

“Anyone who has been in a medical center where the Studer Group has worked, or been to a  Blue Wahoos game, or has been a part of Quint and Rishy’s development projects can attest that they bring an unparalleled level of customer service, quality employees, and leadership development,” said Hammer.  “This is a fantastic opportunity for local organizations to take advantage of this incredible resource, at a minimal expense - which goes to the cause of your choice.”

Hammer also released a tentative agenda for the conference, which will include topics such as:

• Managing organizational change

• Capturing the hearts and minds of staff

• Employee selection and onboarding

• Employee engagement, retention, development, and feedback

• Identifying customer needs

• Saying the right words at the right time in the right way

• Connecting employees to the “why” of customer satisfaction

• Service recovery

• Customer satisfaction measurement
