NEWS RELEASE -- The Jazz Society of Pensacola is featuring the Curt Bol Band at Blue Monday on Aug. 11 at Five Sisters Blues cafe, 421 W. Belmont St., 912-4856.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; music starts at 6:30 p.m.

The Curt Bol Band is an eclectic, revolving and evolving group of veteran musicians playing contemporary and traditional blues, backbeat jazz and classic rock and roll.  Led by vocalist Curt Bol, the band has been a favorite on the Gulf Coast since its inception in 2011 with the help of the late, great Dave Shelander. The Curt Bol Band includes Steve Watkins, guitar; Mark Purser, keys; Roger Agerton, bass; Brent Purcel, drums; Dan Girardin, congas; Tim Coale, drums and Jim Andrews, sax; along with various other talented musicians.

Jazz Society of Pensacola's "Blues" night, featuring a top area blues/jazz band. The public is invited and welcome to attend.  This event has been drawing a large, enthusiastic crowd of jazz and blues lovers to the Five Sisters. The restaurant offers a special menu of fine homestyle southern cuisine as well as a full bar.

Admission is $10 for JSOP members with membership card,  $15 for non-members, $5 for students with ID and free admission for military in uniform. Seating is first come, first serve.
