Friday night is made for blowing off some steam, going out on the town or just enjoying a relaxing evening at home. For those with the inclination to leave the comfort of home can find a variety of freaky and funky fun things to do this Friday in Pensacola. Let’s begin with the freaky at the In its 80th year, the Interstate Fair offers more than 60 rides, entertaining games and music, educational exhibits and deep-fried everything to eat and enjoy. For those with the heart for it, there’s always the freak shows and scary house. There’s also free Money. At 7:30 p.m., classic rocker Eddie Money takes the stage to showcase his list of hit tunes at no extra charge with paid fair admission. The titles of Money’s top songs — “Baby Hold On,” “Shaking,” and “Two Tickets to Paradise” — sound like they were made with the fair in mind. The Pensacola Interstate Fair opened Thursday and runs through Oct 26. If you're not up for the freaky fair, there's some eclectic, cool and funky things to do downtown at Gallery Night. Enjoy a leisurely, stroll in downtown Pensacola and take in a variety of art, music and food along the entertainment and business district. Drop in the galleries and businesses to see the eclectic, cool works of local artists. Listen to the some smooth jazz and funky music mingling in the night air with the sweet smell of food. Gallery Night is free, fun — a little funky — and goes to midnight. Whether freaky or funky or not much at all, have some wholesome family fun on this fall Friday.
