Pay homage to firefighters

  Firefighters put their lives on the line to save other people's lives an property. In honor of their duty and respect for the memory and dedication of firefighters who gave their lives to protect and serve, Gov. Rick Scott is directing the flags of the United States and the state of Florida to be flown at half-mast at all local and state buildings, including installations, and grounds throughout the state from sunrise to sunset on Oct. 12.
