BRIEFCASE: Summit Bank welcomes new VP

The Summit Bank office in Pensacola welcomes Matthew Schmidt as vice president of Summit Investment Services. In his new role, Schmidt will be responsible for recommending investment portfolios and products that offer the highest probability of accomplishing each client’s objectives, without exposure to unnecessary risks.  He will work with clients throughout the Panhandle and lower Alabama. Schmidt spent 14 years as a Raymond James financial advisor, wealth management partner at a local bank, and most recently as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Prior to his career as a financial advisor, he earned a bachelor’s degree with a dual concentration in mathematics and English education, and taught high school mathematics and English at East Hill and Aletheia Christian Schools. He is actively involved and sits on the board of DeepStream Ministry, which helps needy and impoverished families in Guatemala. Summit Bank has three locations in Panama City, Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach.
