The Blue Angels Rock'n'Fly Half Marathon and 5K returns to Pensacola Naval Air Station on March 21. Last year’s event was a sell-out at 2,500 runners. Tickets are limited this year to the first 3,000 runners. The half-marathon course features landmarks such as Barrancas National Cemetery, the National Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola Lighthouse and Sherman Cove. Every participant will receive a T-shirt and a poster. Sticking to the event's rock'n'roll roots, prizes are offered for the best mullet hairstyle and original Rocker costumes. The post-race party includes food, fun, and music. Proceeds will benefit the Navy Ball and the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. Visit www.runrocknfly.com to register for either the 5K or the half marathon. Prices increase March 1.

Mark Harden, director of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, said last year's event resulted in a $40,000 donation to the Relief Society. In 2014, the society's Pensacola office dispensed more than $1 million in assistance to local sailors and Marines and family members who were in financial need.
