The Pensacola MESS Hall — the museum of "Math, Engineering, Science and Stuff" — has released a schedule of upcoming workshops and events. Science Discovery Workshop February 14, 1-2 pm This hands-on program, designed for grades 1-3, is free with admission and explores a different scientific topic each month. This month we will use math to make Valentines. Included with admission - preregistration required Tinker Tots Interested in having Tinker Tots programs for your preschool or kindergarten classes? Contact us to find out more details about this new outreach program. Four Dollar Fridays For the month of February, admission on Fridays is just four dollars for everyone ages 3 and up! All the science for half the price! Engineering Week National Engineering Week is February 21-28, and we will be celebrating with the assistance of the local section of the ASCE civil engineers. Join us the afternoon of Saturday, February 21 for design challenges. In addition, we will have a special after school workshop on Wednesday, February 25 for students in grades 2-4. Older students can join us on Friday, February 27 for Pizza, Particles, and Waves. We will recreate classic experiments on the nature of light. Reserve your spaces today! Spring Break Camps Looking for something fun for the kids during spring break? Sign them up for one of our single-day, 9 AM to noon camps. Each day will include open exploration of the museum plus special activities following a daily theme. For students in grades 1-5. $20/$25 member/nonmember.
