The Pensacola Museum of Art presents OBJECT: Sculptures, Prints and Drawings by artist Michael Boles, Feb. 20-April 18, 2015. The opening reception for this exhibition will be on Friday, February 20, 5:30-9:00 p.m. This is also a Gallery Night. Boles is Professor of Art at Pensacola State College’s Switzer Center for Visual Arts. He has been a prolific and active member of Pensacola’s art community since 1980. Boles has won numerous local and regional awards and his works are on display in many private collections as well as throughout the U.S. and Europe. The exhibition includes sculptures, ink-jet prints, and drawings by Boles from the past ten years. Boles says that for him, making art is more about the philosophies of art and life in such a way that questions everything you thought you knew and less about selling the work. Boles states, “I love what I do, but it torments me.” [sidebar] Opening reception Friday, February 20, 5:30-9:00 p.m. The opening reception is free and open to the public. [/sidebar]
