A public forum is scheduled for this Thursday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. at Milton City Hall. Milton recently purchased an additional 33 acres which increased the SportsPlex’s acreage significantly. The SportsPlex, located at 5629 Byrom St., currently features two football fields, a skate park, six ball fields, six tennis courts and the Guy Thompson Community Center. “We are urging everyone in the community to come and participate in this public forum,” Parks and Recreation Department Director John Norton said in a news release. “As Milton continues to grow, we want to make sure the Parks and Recreation Department meets the future needs of the public at the SportsPlex.” Currently the Milton SportsPlex serves as the home to community youth sports programs involving baseball, football, cheerleading, basketball, senior programs, tennis, adult softball and many other events and activities For more information can call 850-983-5466 or e-mail [email protected].
