Golden Apple roundtable brings teachers together, planning for traffic woes and The Rex is nearly ready in today’s news. The Pensacola Today Short List for Friday, Feb. 20 includes: Golden Apple roundtable helps teachers Thursday, the annual Golden Apple Academy Teacher of the Year Roundtable at the Crowne Plaza in Pensacola was held bringing Teacher of the Year winners representing 44 Escambia County together in a daylong workshop to share their experiences,  learn new things and build better and stronger relationships. “This is going to be a four-year-long project and it will have a tremendous impact on Gulf Breeze and Pensacola areas,” City Manager Buz Eddy said of the bridge project. Santa Rosa Commissioner Lane Lynchard said the “potential for adverse economic impact on both Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach is huge during the four-year construction timetable.”

“We’ll be putting the flooring in and getting our final inspections next week,” said Mark Patrick, Greenhut’s construction manager for the project. “Hopefully the Harvest Church people will be able to come in here and start the first of March.”
