WSRE hosts family-fun event at Gulfarium

Popular PBS KIDS characters will be stationed around the park to meet and greet children

How big is Clifford the Big Red Dog? Is there really a Man with a Yellow Hat? How curious is Curious George?

You can find out next month at the WSRE PBS KIDS & Family Day at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park on Fort Walton Beach.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 21, WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, will invite families meet and greet their favorite TV cartoon characters.

Popular PBS KIDS characters like Clifford the Big Red Dog, SuperWhy, Curious George, The Man with the Yellow Hat and Cat in the Hat will be stationed around the park to greet their fans.

Entertainment for children will include hands-on activities, including arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt and a bounce house.

Touch screen computers from the WSRE Imagination Station will also be available in the indoor aquarium area for children to play games and explore other PBS KIDS activities.

Guests can find more family fun with the park’s regular dolphin and sea lion shows, animal exhibits and aquariums.

In addition to PBS KIDS & Family Day, Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park will operate under regular park hours from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission closes at 3:30 p.m.

For tickets and park information, go to www.Gulfarium.com. A portion of the proceeds from admission fees will benefit the WSRE-TV Foundation.

This event will be held rain or shine and is co-sponsored by Gulf Power, Cox Communications and Lamar Outdoor Advertising.
