Silver Airways announces direct flights between Pensacola and New Orleans

Let the good times fly. Silver Airways will begin daily service between Pensacola and New Orleans starting on June 16. That makes 13 destinations to which Pensacola International Airport offers nonstop service. "This new service links two of America’s greatest and most historic cities, and connects Pensacola with new destinations, new markets, and new opportunities,"” said Pensacola Mayor Ashton J. Hayward in a news release. In the release, Silver Airways CEO Sami Teittinen said the airline looks forward to providing "much needed flights linking New Orleans, Birmingham and Pensacola, as well as one-stop connections to other Silver Airways destinations in Florida." "We are pleased to welcome this new airline to our great city, adding increased transportation between these two popular markets,"” said New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
