This week, the Cantonment Improvement Committee hosted a ribbon-cutting at the new Carver Park Resource Center. The event, facilitated by Escambia County, marked the culmination of a nearly year-long project for the CIC.

Upwards of 50 people came for the dedication, praising the efforts of the Cantonment Improvement Committee and the impact they’ve had on their community.

Members of the CIC leadership had an opportunity to step up to the podium and say their respective thanks to those that have helped them along the way before the crowd dissolved to enjoy refreshments and celebrate progress in Cantonment.

They acknowledged partners, such as Pensacola Habitat for Humanity and other local organizations and agencies, that have helped with projects and programs in the three years they have been serving Cantonment.
