Bubba Watson tweeted Thursday that he will paint the American flag on the roof of the General Lee. Watson tweeted: "All men ARE created equal, I believe that so I will be painting the American flag over the roof of the General Lee Watson, Bagdad native and pro golfer, bought the iconic car from the "Dukes of Hazzard" in 2012. The orange car was arguably the star of the 1980s television show about two brothers outwitting hapless Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane and Boss Hogg at every turn. It has a Confederate flag painted on the roof. TVLand network pulled reruns of the popular show from the air this week. Controversy has swirled again around the flag since a white man shot and killed nine people in a historic Charleston, S.C., church. The so-called "battle flag" still flies on state property in South Carolina, though politicians on both sides of he aisle have called for its removal since the shooting at emanuel AME Church. The City of Pensacola and Escambia County removed the Confederate flag from city and county property, replacing it with the State of Florida flag.
