Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach is turning to the crowd to help its students.

Newschief.com in Winter Haven reports that the university is turning to crowdsourcing to help students complete research projects.

School officials said last week that the website can be used for any great idea or project.

They say it will help educational and research initiatives get funding if those projects are short on time and money.

Among the projects seeking funds are a student team building a rocket and engineering students trying to redesign a Chevrolet Camaro into a hybrid-electric vehicle.

Embry-Riddle offers courses at Pensacola Naval Air Station through its network.
