On his first day as a "full-time volunteer for the community," Quint Studer, founder of Pensacola, Fla.-based Studer Group, will be the main speaker at a free community workshop called "Leading and Managing Change."
Attendees will hear insight on ways to better handle change in their own role, as well as guiding others to do the same. The course is focused on increasing the understanding of the various aspects of organizational change and oneffective strategies to insert a sense of urgency, lead through the process and minimize resistance.

Course objectives: This course is focused on increasing the understanding of all aspects of organizational change as well as effective ways to create as sense of urgency, lead through the process and minimize resistance.
After the training you will understand:

- The phases of organizational change
- How to communicate urgency
- How people react to change
- How to involve employees and create dialogue
- Be skilled at embracing continuous change

This workshop is part of the Studer Community Institute's ongoing development sessions to help improve the quality of life in Northwest Florida. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Institute relies on the support and engagement of passionate individuals and innovative organizations to help us achieve our mission.
Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for coffee and pastries and the workshop begins promptly at 8 a.m.
