Effective PowerPoint Presentations – Taking your Slide Deck from Sad to Sizzle

Thursday, October 6

9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
(Doors open at 8:30 a.m.)

Earlier this year Daniel Pennington was the facilitator for the workshop: “Making Your Next Presentation Bulletproof ~ How to engage your audience and keep them engaged.” The training session on October 6, will recap and build on the learning of the previous training, to help you improve both your public speaking and presentation skills.

Public speaking and presenting are essential leadership skills. Like all other’s they takes practice to get better. The more you work at them, the better you will get. And the better you get the more compelling your presentations will become.

PowerPoint is one of the most effective tools a presenter can use to convey their message visually. Unfortunately, many speakers fail to get the most out of their presentation. Lists, bullet points, and boring slides put your audience to sleep rather than moving them emotionally. Is there an answer? Yes. In this workshop, we will cover key steps to creating a PowerPoint slide deck that works for you instead of against you.

We will also cover how to use audio and video in a presentation, competitive products like Keynote and Prezi.

Join Daniel Pennington and Studer Community Institute October 6, to learn the do’s and don’ts of creating more engaging presentations!
