Cox to present free computers as part of Connect2Compete program

Cox Communications is happy to announce that it will present 50 Gulf Coast families with a free refurbished desktop computer during two events along the Gulf Coast this week, as part of the Connect2Compete program. In order to receive the computer, families had to show a commitment to their student’s education, by signing up for the Connect2Compete program during the months of February and March. Bras Across the Bridge raised $8,000

The fifth annual Bras Across the Bridge raised more than $8,000 for Baptist Health Care Foundation’s Mammogram Fund, which provides mammograms to qualified women who are not financially able to pay for it. More than 800 new bras were donated by the 400 plus participants at the event, sponsored by Baptist Health Care, Cox Communications and Today’s Soft Rock 94.1. The new bras will be donated to women’s shelters, high schools and FamiliesFirst Network. Read full story
