Get ready for the Cox Pensacola Christmas Parade

Bundle up and get ready for some fun at the 2014 Cox Pensacola Christmas Parade. [sidebar] SHARE THE GOOD TIMES Bring your cell phones and cameras. [/sidebar] The parade starts at 5:15 p.m., Saturday in Downtown Pensacola, but come early for the best parking and to find your spot along the parade route. Wear something warm, the temps at sunset will be in the mid-50s and drop in to the 40s. Zero chance of rain so you can leave the umbrella at home. The event that draws over 50,000 people each year, including nearly 90 entries, and eight bands from Escambia County, New Orleans and Mississippi. The parade also features the nationally renowned Blue Angels flight team and a host of organizations from around the region. Parade winners will be named for best school division, church division, business division, dancing teams and open division. All profits of the Cox Pensacola Christmas Parade go to the local high school band booster organizations. Over $25,000 has been donated to the five area high schools. Sponsors for the 2013 Cox Pensacola Christmas Parade included Cox Communications, Wind Creek Casino & Hotel, Ballinger Publishing, Techsoft, and Baptist Health Care.
