State releases school grades

The Florida Department of Education Friday released preliminary school grades for elementary and middle schools in the state.

The high school grades are not yet available.

This year, Escambia County had eight A schools and four F schools. Warrington Middle School, which was the focus of intense scrutiny this school year, brought its grade up to a D.

Santa Rosa County had 13 A schools and two D schools.
