Launching Greater Pensacola Career Pathways

Several key regional partners in Northwest Florida will participate in a signing ceremony for the official launch of a new collaborative campaign, Greater Pensacola Career Pathways. This initiative is designed to educate students, parents, teachers and administrators about the number of viable career opportunities and training in the community. Components of the campaign include a website, industry flyers and a bi-annual newsletter. The event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 1:30 p.m., at the Greater Pensacola Chamber, 117 W. Garden St., and will feature representatives from the Community Economic Development Association of Pensacola & Escambia County, Greater Pensacola Chamber, Santa Rosa County Economic Development, CareerSource Escarosa, Escambia County School District, Santa Rosa County School District, George Stone Technical Center, Locklin Tech, Pensacola State College, University of West Florida and several other partners within the community. Superintendent of Escambia County School District, Malcolm Thomas, Superintendent of Santa Rosa County School District, Tim Wyrosdick, Pensacola State College President, Dr. Ed Meadows and University of West Florida President, Dr. Judy Bense will all speak regarding the campaign.
