Reception honors retired Pensacola police officer

A reception to honor a retired Pensacola police officer will be held Wednesday at the Pensacola Police Department, 711 N. Hayne St. The reception, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., will recognize Michael Reese, who retired after 25 years as a police officer. Reese, 50, was hired as a police officer on June 11, 1990, and retired on March 29, 2015. Among his assignments included: uniform patrol, bike patrol, recruiting officer, investigations and school resource officer at Workman and A.V. Clubbs middle schools, and Pensacola and Washington high schools. Reese’s last was assigned to duty at the Pensacola International Airport.
