The Hill-Kelly Drive-In Movie Series presented by Cox Communications returns to Community Maritime Park with a free movie. There is a slight change in the venue for the first movie of the season on Friday, May 29. “Due to wet field conditions we are relocating the movie from the exhibition field to the amphitheater, said Justin Paul, program manager for the Community Maritime Park. “We want to give the Pensacola community the best event we possibly can and this solution should prevent our guests from having to sit on wet or muddy grass as well as help prevent damage to the turf at the park.” Bring blanket and chairs to sit on the amphitheater lawn and watch the movie underneath the starry skies. The movie will begin at 8:15 p.m. and parking opens at 6.pm. Follow the directions of parking staff and volunteers to ensure minimal damage to field areas still used for parking. Concessions will be available but picnic baskets are always welcome. No pets or glass containers please. This summer’s Drive-In Movies are sponsored by Hill-Kelly Dodge, Cox Communications, Cat Country 98.7, Pensacola Government Federal Credit Union, City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation, and the Community Maritime Park. This free summer movie series brings the nostalgia of a drive-in movie experience to downtown Pensacola. Movies are family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
