This is Ivan Levine. He has been a downtown fixture and a friend of the the Police Department for many years.
"With the help of my mom, I started my own business called Ivan's Balloon Company in 1981. I sold balloons and other items in Cordova Mall at Cordova Toy and Hobby. In 1991 I started doing dance-o-grams for people's birthdays for comedy. For the past few years, I have also worked at Seville Quarter. I help with the decorations for special events at Seville Quarter and I help at the door."
Tell me about your involvement with the Neighborhood Watch Program.
"I was a Police Explorer for the Pensacola Police Department for five years as a teenager. After that I got involved with the neighborhood watch program and I became a watch coordinator. Altogether, I have been involved with the Pensacola Police Department for 48 years."
What do you enjoy about being a neighborhood watch coordinator?
"I really like helping and protecting people and I like being around our police officers because they help make us safe."
