The 25th annual Kids’ College, a Pensacola State College summer program, runs June 8 through Aug. 14, from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday on the Pensacola campus, 1000 College Blvd.

Parents can meet teachers, ask questions, and register children for classes at open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on May 19 Building 96, Room 9663.

Geared for children 6-12 years old, courses are offered in three age-appropriate categories during one-week and two-week sessions. Cost varies from $29 to $175 per course, depending on selections.

Just like regular college students, Kids’ College students can choose a schedule that includes one class per day or a full day of classes and activities, says Frances Yeo, PSC Continuing Education coordinator.

Animation Movie Making, Comic Book Characters, Crawling Things, and Fishing are among more than 60 courses that cover art, computers, fashion, languages, science, self-defense, sports and writing.

Kids’ College also offers specialized camps for a variety of age groups, including Lego Camp, Science Camp and Theater Camp.
